Trying to cut costs? Your A Nanny Network Team would like you to consider sharing a nanny...

Childcare costs are one of the largest household expenses just behind mortgage or rent. In this current economy, families are looking to cut costs wherever they can without sacrificing their family’s quality of care. That’s where our Share-A-Nanny option comes in.

More and more families are opting to share a nanny, sitter, or even housekeeper to split their costs nearly in half WITHOUT cutting quality. A Share-A-Nanny is typically one nanny who will care for the children of two families at the same time at either one or both of the homes. The arrangement allows families to attract even more interest in their positions by offering higher salaries (since they’ll be splitting the cost, families can afford to pay a nanny more than they might otherwise have been able to afford). Families still pay drastically less than they would without a nanny share arrangement and nannies get slightly higher salaries than they would normally. It’s a win-win situation for all involved!

FYI~ According to the IRS 2010 Household Employer's Tax Guide*, it is illegal to treat a nanny as a 1099 self-employed person.

To do so exposes the family to tremendous risk and makes them liable for back taxes, penalties and interest. Oh sure, at first glance, it sounds great, is less expensive and seems like it would make life so much easier. It's a clever marketing ploy by other agencies to use...sounds as if they are saving you lots of money...but, unfortunately it is illegal and simply not worth the risk.

We have a much easier way for you to comply with the tax laws...just lease your nanny through us or take advantage of our Payroll Processing Services, and we will take care of all the complicated payroll processing so your employee is paid legally and you can take your childcare tax credit. You can lease your nanny through us whether you hired her/him from A Nanny Network or somewhere else, it makes no difference. We do all the work and you can relax knowing you will be totally compliant and not exposed to any unnecessary risks.

*Please contact us if you would like a copy of the IRS 2008 Household Employer's Tax Guide. We will be happy to email or fax one to you.

FOR LEASE EMPLOYERS AND EMPLOYEES***

Ask us about our wide range of benefits for leased nannies; such as medical, dental, optical and disability insurance or discount plans. Another great reason to be leased through A Nanny Network, Inc.!
